Previously colonized

"Developing countries" should be properly called Previously Colonized Countries, because this way, it would not ignore the fact that these countries aren't just slow in their development, or just happen to be poor, or low on resources. –as if it was the result of a faulty lazy behavior, bad luck, or my favorite, an inborn preference for authoritarism and corrupt dictators.

Let's acknowledge the fact that European powers and the US government are the reason our nations are decades behind in basic services. Because for every decade they are ahead of us, there was a decade where labor power, resources and our land contributed to their development.

And furthermore for every time we wanted to improve our lives and address inequality in our countries, they actively intervened –and continue to– disappearing movements and killing any actors of change.
